Speaking to My Two Year Old Son

What does it take to get children to listen? Do they listen with their ears, or are they reacting to what they see? When I call out to my son or give him instruction, he laughs and runs away, as though it’s a game. I never gave it much thought, he’s a two year old…that’s what they do.
