Your Bottom Line article on the speaking style has an error-if he has a prepared speach i agree he does not use &quot;ums or ahs&quot; if not using a prepared speach he becomes  a terrible speaker using one um and ah after another-thats when we mute him-a good speaker  never uses an um or ah.
His press secretary has the same problem.
When one uses an um or ah that is because they have nothing to say.
I never us an um or ah except in writing to you.
There are many better spaeker examples to use other than the one you used.
