You can choose any of the following keynotes:

The Art of Telling Your Story

Every presentation has one goal: persuasion. Whether standing before a large audience or giving an informal pitch, telling your story is the most important aspect of a presentation. Jerry Weissman’s proven techniques are at the core of his international (10 languages) bestseller, Presenting to Win: The Art of Telling Your Story, named by Fortune Magazine as one of 8 “must-read” books.

In this keynote speech, Jerry presents the main techniques from his book with examples from his world-famous client base. The program includes a highly-interactive audience participation exercise in how capture any audience with a strong opening sequence.

The Power Presenter

To coincide with the release of his latest book, The Power Presenter, Jerry has developed a keynote that features a selection of his proven techniques, each illustrated by videos of famous speakers whose style points are applicable by any speaker.
The Power Presenter Format

  1. The Mission-Critical Impact of Presentation Skills
To demonstrate the importance of presentation excellence, the Kennedy-Nixon debate serves as vehicle to show how John F. Kennedy’s superior skills were able to vault him from underdog to victor.
  2. Person-to-Person Conversation
Most human beings feel comfortable when speaking one-to-one. Jerry has developed a technique for bringing that same dynamic into presentations. Elizabeth Dole’s presentation from the floor of the Republican National Convention is a vivid example of the power of person-to-person conversation.
  3. ERA (Eye Connect + Reach Out = Animation)
This all-in-one skill set combines the body language, voice and eye contact factors into a simple style that will enable readers to feel and look comfortable whenever they present. General Norman Schwarzkopf, the hero of the first Gulf War, serves as the role model.
  4. Complete the Arc
This unique skill shows speakers how to establish a clear, crisp speech cadence by dropping the voice when concluding a phrase. Videos of George W. Bush and Barack Obama serve as illustrative examples.
  5. The Role Model
Ronald Reagan, the Great Communicator, is the ultimate role model for any speaker to present naturally. Reagan’s conversational style is compared to the techniques of Sir Winston Churchill, John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Billy Graham.

In the Line of Fire, Part I: You’re not listening!

Before you can think of answering any question, you must be certain of the key issue. If not, you will be accused of not listening, one of the universal problems in all human communications. In this keynote speech, Jerry Weissman demonstrates the fine art of active listening, one of the many techniques in his book In the Line of Fire: How to Handle Tough Questions…When it Counts and its companion DVD In the Line of Fire: An Interactive Guide to Handling Tough Questions.

Active listening includes:

  1. How to identify the Key Issue
  2. Sub-vocalization
  3. Visual Listening
  4. What to do if You Don’t Understand the Question

In the Line of Fire, Part II: How to Handle Tough Questions

Once you have identified the key issue in the question, you must handle your response effectively. The first step is to Buffer, a special form of paraphrase that strips out any hostility in the question, condenses the question and confirms the question with the asker. Once the answer is provided, the presenter has then earned the right to Topspin, a special technique to add value, offer a benefit, and reinforce the message.  In this keynote, Jerry provides the Buffer and Topspin techniques.

Both parts of this keynote speech include interactive exercises with the audience. It also includes illustrative video clips drawn from the Power Presentations Program and the DVD, In the Line of Fire: An Interactive Guide to Handling Tough Questions
