Notre Dame ESTEEM Program Visits Silicon Valley

NotreDame1Jerry Weissman spoke at the University of Notre Dame’s first ever ESTEEM/Silicon Valley event on Thursday, April 22.

The ESTEEM Program (Engineering, Science, Technology Entreprenuership Excellence Master’s) is a one-year Masters of Science Program. It has been developed as a joint program of the College of Science, College of Engineering and Mendoza College of Business. The objective is to provide Science and Engineering graduates the skills required to take science and/or engineering inventions and translate those inventions into commercial ventures while strengthening their science and/or engineering skills.

    I helped organize this event with several other UND grads who work in the valley. Jerry was very gracious to give his time and talent to the Fighting Irish…particularly, for a Stanford Grad! Jerry gave the afternoon keynote then helped critique several student presentations. The “learnings” were significant. Nobody does it as well or better than Jerry. Thanks.
